Some designers make jewelry.
Others make it speak —

discovering beauty where craft and creativity meet.

Diamond rings and gemologist's loupe by Tripti Jain Kanuga

Where a gemologist's precision meets an artist's soul.

Born with a deep sensitivity to beauty and an instinct for craft, Tripti pursued her passion with the discipline of a scholar. She graduated at the very top of her class at the Jewelry Design & Technology Institute in India.

She went on to earn her Graduate Gemologist distinction, her GIA certification with honors in Pearls, and a Diploma in Jewelry CAD. From hand manufacturing her own designed jewels as a student to overseeing every stage of a working jewelry studio and directing a team of skilled craftsmen, she brings not only a trained creative eye but a deep understanding of the techniques, the engineering and solutions that fine jewelry demands — drawing on the wisdom of traditional making to arrive at something entirely new.

For over twenty-five years — now working from New York and serving clients across continents — Tripti has created more than four hundred bespoke fine jewelry pieces, each one a testament to her deep understanding of the client, their lifestyle, aesthetic and vision, her unwavering commitment, and the quiet responsibility she feels toward every person who places their trust in her hands.

The Process

From imagination to creation —
every line drawn, every detail considered.

Every commission is a translation — of desires into drawings, of dreams into designs, of passion into something that can finally be worn. Tripti's process is one of the most personal expressions of her craft: she sketches by hand, each drawing an artwork in itself — a vision waiting to be realized, refined until the design feels not just right, but inevitable. Every gemstone is individually sourced, every diamond sorted and considered through her trained gemologist's eye, until each element of the piece is exactly as it should be. Her work has graced the pages of Cosmopolitan and the screens of FTV. She has designed for storied houses — Tanishq, Mehrasons, Khanna Jewelers, Adamus — and for private clients whose names she keeps in the strictest confidence, as all trusted custodians of beauty must.

Philosophy

"The only luxury worth wearing is luxury with a conscience — because true luxury means nothing if it leaves the earth diminished."

Rooted in the Jain principles of Ahimsa, conscious living and compassion toward all living things, these are not values separate from her work — they are woven into it, in every stone she sources, every choice she makes, and every piece she brings to life.

Sustainability, for her, is not a design trend. It is a way of being. Long before the industry adopted the language, she was already living it: seeking fair-trade stones and ethically sourced materials, choosing to refurbish and reimagine over discard and replace. Her central tenet — that the most beautiful thing a jewel can be is one that was made with care — runs through every commission she accepts, every design she draws, and every piece she signs her name to.
